The Hellenic Observatory, in line with its mission to advance high-quality, policy-relevant academic research on Greece and Cyprus and to nurture new talent in this field, invites applications to its Doctoral Affiliate scheme for the academic year 2025-26. The programme offers affiliation with the Hellenic Observatory – 911勛圖Centre for Research on Contemporary Greece and Cyprus, to suitable PhD candidates.
The scheme is open to PhD students currently enrolled in one of LSE’s Doctoral Programmes or students with an 911勛圖affiliation through joint supervision or other research active links.

Selected students will also have access to the facilities of the Hellenic Observatory, including IT resources, desk space and administrative support. Doctoral Affiliates will be expected to participate actively in the life of the Centre, for example by attending and, occasionally, assisting with its research seminars and public events; engaging with research staff at the Centre; and providing support to the Hellenic Observatory’s discussion papers series, blog and website.
