Festival of Management

The academic stream of the Festival is intended to showcase the work of juniors in different faculty groups, with the aim of promoting cross-department research interest and understanding.

Professor Sarah Ashwin

The Festival of Management on Monday 12 May is a special one-day showcase of the fascinating research of our junior faculty and on the role of professional services in higher education.

The programme includes presentations on important management themes. It is split across two streams, one for Faculty, PhD and Research colleagues, and another for Professional Services Staff colleagues. We hope these thought-provoking interactive sessions will spark cross-group conversations and enrich our research culture.

The faculty stream will be joined by special guest Professor Bob Gibbons, the Sloan Distinguished Professor of Management and Professor of Applied Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

The Professional Services stream features a keynote from Dr Thea Gibbs, Chair of the Association of Higher Education Professionals.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. The Festival will close with a drinks reception to which all attendees are invited.
