Antifeminism in South Korea
Sindhoora’s research examines the politics of antifeminism in South Korea by looking at the men's rights organization, New Men's Solidarity. Her research asks how are claims to victimhood made by this organization, how does it connect to larger socio-political discourses, and what is the way forward. She is also interested in examining questions of race and gender in Korean popular culture, especially webtoons and TV shows.
Biography
Sindhoora completed her master's in Modern Korean Literature from Seoul National University. Her master's thesis examined how the act of eating informed the politics of female poet Heo Su-gyeong's body of literature. Sindhoora also has a bachelor's and master's degree in English Literature from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
